THE BOULOGNE-BILLANCOURT
MUSEUM OF THE THIRTIES (FRANCE)

by Véronique Brom, Enric Franch, Emmanuel Bréon

Renault and Renoir, Le Corbusier, Sundays of surrealism and cubism organised by Khanweiler, the gallery owner, the launch of the first pressure cooker and the telephone... Industry and Art continually cross paths in the history of the Boulogne-Billancourt, "the city of modern times". Their Museum of the Thirties, with works by the figurative artists with connections to the city in that decade, has now been integrated into the Landowsky Area, the first corner-stone of the new urban complex which will be built around an also new urban centre.
